About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive implementation of die TPM programs to support production goals and objectives
- Lead execution of tooling projects and provide technical leadership to ensure equipment reliability and maximize OEE
- Collaborate with product design functions on metal component design for manufacturability and tooling cost scoping
- Assist suppliers and quality engineers in developing cost-effective new metal tooling and addressing production issues
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to junior tooling engineers and cross-functional team members
- Act as a liaison to 3rd Party Tool & Die Maintenance, monitoring repair costs and preventative maintenance activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- Technical expertise in Stamping Tooling within a manufacturing or operations setting
- Experience with transfer press stamping equipment, transfer stamping dies/tools, and transfer systems
- Proven ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment, including occasional off-shift, on-call, or weekend work
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing with a focus on stamping tools, maintenance, or project execution
- Experience leading or working with metal fabrication or automated equipment operations
- Six Sigma certification with strong knowledge of Lean and DMAIC methodologies
- Demonstrated track record of driving results through analytical methods and project scheduling
