Senior to Lead Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define the data engineering vision and roadmap aligned with business goals
• Architect and lead the development of a scalable data platform, including lakehouse and warehouses
• Mentor and guide a team of data engineers to foster technical excellence
• Establish best practices for data governance, quality, security, and compliance
• Lead initiatives for real-time streaming, data observability, and workflow orchestration
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams
• Own the design and monitoring of ETL/ELT pipelines for reliability and cost efficiency
• Champion data democratization across the organization

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering
• 1–2 years in a technical leadership or lead role
• Proven ability to design and scale data platforms
• Deep understanding of data architecture, modeling, and warehousing
• Strong expertise in SQL and Python
• Proficiency with modern data pipeline tools like Airflow, Dagster, or DBT
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native services (S3, Redshift, Glue, Kinesis)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Experience implementing streaming and real-time data processing solutions
• Passion for clean, maintainable code and strong documentation
