Senior Thermal Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct thermal/fluid simulation analysis for data center components including cold plates, servers, and cooling systems
• Provide optimization recommendations for component-level structural designs and cooling system components
• Perform thermal simulation for high-performance computing data center site layouts and airflow distribution
• Utilize professional simulation software such as Flotherm, Fluent, or Icepak to build models and analyze thermal fields
• Design and validate experiments for component-level and system-level products
• Research advanced thermal management technologies and new materials
• Develop and deliver training on thermal design standards and procedures

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Thermal Energy and Power Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
• 5-10 years of experience in thermal/fluid simulation
• Proficiency in mainstream thermal/fluid simulation software (e.g., Flotherm, Fluent, Icepak)
• Familiarity with thermal design processes for data centers and air/liquid cooling systems
• Strong theoretical foundation in heat transfer and fluid dynamics
