Senior Textile Developer

Responsibilities

• Lead fabric sourcing, custom developments, and seasonal fabric fair presentations
• Redevelop core fabrics with overseas and in-region suppliers to meet performance and cost standards
• Manage and mentor direct reports, fostering growth and accountability
• Partner with mills and Product Integrity teams to ensure compliance with third-party testing standards
• Collaborate with Design and PD teams to provide technical support and innovative fabric solutions
• Oversee seasonal color block testing and end-to-end wear-testing execution
• Act as primary quality gatekeeper for bulk approvals and vendor accountability
• Present material development status, risks, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership

Requirements

• Over 6 years of technical expertise in textiles (fibers, yarns, construction, finishes, printing)
• Proven experience managing and mentoring direct reports
• Established relationships with fabric suppliers
• In-depth knowledge of AATCC and ASTM industry test methods
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PLM systems
• Experience with performance fabrications is highly preferred
