Senior Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end (E2E) automated test suites across UI, API, and back-end services
• Champion an AI-first automation strategy using AI-assisted authoring and generative test planning
• Build and own daily smoke and build-acceptance tests for development and staging environments
• Lead post-deployment testing, including production smoke tests and continuous validation
• Design golden-dataset regression tests for ML pipeline services to validate algorithmic outputs
• Build automated coverage for WebGL-based 3D Web Viewers and Clinical UIs using Playwright
• Author traceable test plans, protocols, and reports compliant with medical device QMS
• Perform tool validation for test infrastructure and automation tooling
• Collaborate with engineering to standardize API-level and integration tests
• Triage and root-cause failures across complex distributed systems
• Support quality-related audits, CAPAs, and regulatory submissions
• Support and coordinate offshore/contractor test engineers

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in software test engineering, SDET, or quality engineering
• Direct experience testing Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) or regulated medical device software
• Working knowledge of medical device QMS (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, 21 CFR Part 820)
• Strong proficiency with Selenium and Playwright
• Experience designing and maintaining E2E automation frameworks
• Practical experience with AI-assisted testing tools and techniques
• Solid programming skills in Python and one additional language (TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or C#)
• Experience with API testing tools (REST Assured, Postman, or Karate)
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Harness)
• Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with requirements/traceability tooling like Ketryx, Jama, or Polarion
• Experience with DICOM and/or HL7 protocols
• Experience testing ML/AI systems or medical imaging products
• Experience validating complex 3D visualizations and models
• Familiarity with performance testing tools like k6, Locust, or JMeter
