Senior Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on test automation decisions, including tool evaluations and maturity assessments
• Teach and share knowledge through the Xebia Academy
• Analyze client system landscapes, interfaces, test requirements, scenarios, and data
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases for customer software
• Identify and communicate bugs and defects directly to stakeholders
• Drive innovation within the Xebia Product Quality Unit's test automation services

Requirements

• Degree or training in computer science or a related field
• Expert-level skills in at least one test automation tool (Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright)
• Experience with test management and DevOps tools such as Jira Xray, Zephyr, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Understanding of software development practices, agile methods, and CI/CD pipelines
• Very good German and English language skills
• Willingness to travel 20-30% within Switzerland
