Senior Test Automation Engineer (QA/SDET)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks to drive innovation in digital banking.
• Deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages and tools, ensuring code is scalable and optimized for performance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
• Implement effective unit testing practices and adhere to secure coding standards to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Act as a subject matter expert to guide technical direction and mentor less experienced specialists.

Requirements

• Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of software testing principles with a focus on automation over manual testing.
• Extensive experience with Java programming, Linux/Unix, Gitlab, Maven, Gradle, TestNG, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep understanding of test automation design patterns, test data management, and reporting.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills to influence quality at the code and design level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Trading Platforms and the FIX protocol.
• Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with performance testing concepts and Quality Intelligence (QI).
• Demonstrated ability to debug unfamiliar systems and support cross-team efforts.
