Senior Test and Evaluation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of space systems tests and experiments
• Design, develop, and execute advanced test and experimentation programs to assess space systems
• Apply scientific and statistical tools, such as design of experiments, to increase test efficiency
• Create and review test engineering documentation, including test plans, safety packages, and analysis reports
• Perform analysis on pre-test predictions using modeling and simulation (M&S) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL)
• Monitor M&S data gathering and guide test result evaluation to ensure system configurations meet customer specifications
• Execute simulations to predict or evaluate system effectiveness under relevant operational conditions
• Create and enhance data analysis tools and present complex data sets through technical reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Science, Operations Research, or Statistics
• 10+ years of demonstrated Systems or Test Engineering experience with DoD space, ground, or operations segments
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with eligibility for Special Access Programs (SAP)
• SME-level understanding of developmental, operational, and integrated test processes
• Experience with modeling and simulation, laboratory testing, and design of experiments
• Familiarity with major DoD acquisition programs and the Space Force acquisition process

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific field
• DoD Acquisition Professional Development (ADPD) Test and Evaluation Level 3 certification
• Experience as a Space Weapons officer or graduate of specialized T&E training
• Knowledge of orbital mechanics, astrodynamics, and space operations
• Proficiency in statistical techniques and scripting languages for data analysis
