Senior Telematic SW Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and architectural governance of embedded telematics applications for construction equipment.
• Oversee embedded application architecture and provide technical leadership to the engineering team.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Cloud Engineers, System Engineers, and Program Managers.
• Create detailed software documentation and support the development of software models using Model Based Design.
• Support external suppliers and internal teams with component integration, defect analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Perform root cause analysis, design reviews, and task prioritization to ensure high-quality releases.
• Monitor system performance in the field to suggest and implement preventive improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical, or equivalent).
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C++ development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Embedded Linux distributions and Linux internals (IPC, D-Bus, driver interfacing).
• Knowledge of telematics and connectivity protocols including CAN bus (socketCAN), MQTT, and HTTP/gRPC.
• Experience with IoT ecosystems and cloud integration (AWS IoT or Azure IoT Hub).
• Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with V-Model and Agile methodologies.
• Experience in product definition and development of complex systems.
• Knowledge of hardware abstraction and interfacing with peripherals (I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO).
• Experience using the Yocto project to modify custom board support packages (BSP) and SDKs.
