About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop new process platforms and resolve project-related issues
- Manage multiple programs and projects concurrently
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and company employees to meet business requirements
- Ensure mastery of installation requirements according to Telco Standard TP76300 (AT&T)
- Apply engineering skills across DC power, data centers, fiber systems, and supervisory systems
- Integrate telecom and data equipment using diagnostic software and testing tools
- Conduct onsite surveys at customer locations
- Interpret network diagrams and survey data to determine equipment placement and power needs
- Create detailed engineering plans for transport and access networks
- Research manufacturer documentation for equipment ordering and installation guidance
- Maintain company policies, safety procedures, and administrative requirements
- Update company and customer installation documents
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Telecom DC Power, Infrastructure, and Central Office Detail Engineering
- High school diploma and four years of technical school or equivalent training
- Proficiency in Microsoft 360 and diagnostic programs
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to travel domestically (10%-25%)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and crawl in confined spaces
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AT&T systems (EJF, VIPS, AOTs, and Inventory Systems)
- Valid passport
