Senior TechOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and support UAT and production environments on Microsoft Azure
• Perform hands-on RHEL administration, including hardening, patching, and troubleshooting
• Act as a senior escalation point for L2/L3 production incidents and drive root cause analysis
• Support and troubleshoot Java microservices platforms built on Spring Boot
• Diagnose JVM-level performance issues including memory, GC, threads, and latency
• Drive security vulnerability remediation across OS, middleware, and cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with Security, SOC, and NOC teams on incident response and post-incident reviews
• Support and mentor L1 engineers to ensure quality handover and resolution
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and manage incidents via Jira Service Management
• Improve platform reliability through automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Python scripting

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in TechOps, Infrastructure, SRE, or Production Operations
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure and RHEL administration
• Proven experience supporting Java microservices and middleware platforms in production
• Advanced experience with Elasticsearch and JVM observability
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Python scripting
• Strong incident management and root cause analysis (RCA) capabilities
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change)
• Ability to operate in a 24/7 production environment
• Proficiency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Chinese is a plus
