Senior Technician WDT

Responsibilities

• Lead the WDT Entertainment Technical Team providing training, performance coaching, recognition, and feedback
• Oversee all aspects of daily operation for WDT technical and stage elements
• Partner with Stage Manager to perform emergency abbreviated shows
• Coordinate with Entertainment Leadership regarding load ins/outs, new show installs, and equipment tests
• Provide support services for production shows, variety acts, concerts, and activities
• Schedule the WDT Technical Team and lead department meetings
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules and routine repairs of technical equipment
• Maintain stock control and documentation for show consumables

Requirements

• Minimum five years of experience in a technical role within a theatrical operation
• Experience leading a theater technical team regarding scheduling, performance, and development
• Expertise with standard theatrical practices in a musical theater environment
• Ability to work at heights with heavy equipment
• Ability to work in environments with pyrotechnics, haze, fog, and other special effects
• Valid passport and ability to obtain a C1/D Seaman's visa

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Audio Visual and Projection systems
• Experience with Automation Desks
• Experience with Stunt Rigging Equipment and Body Harnesses
