Senior Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex malfunctions in automated systems, including PLC, Robotics, and Mechanics
• Optimize maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime and improve plant availability
• Implement technical modifications to increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job coaching for Junior Technicians and apprentices
• Assist in the installation, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) of new machinery
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and establish technical standards for the workshop
• Ensure all technical changes, software updates, and repairs are accurately documented
• Maintain technical readiness and reliability of the machinery park

Requirements

• Expert troubleshooting skills in automated systems (PLC, Robotics, and Mechanics)
• Proven experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Strong technical documentation skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance required for the defence sector
• Experience in technical decision-making and defining repair methods
