Senior Technician (MRO)

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on inspection, servicing, and repair of HAUV systems including mechanical chassis, pressure hulls, and power electronics
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults at system and component level using multimeters and oscilloscopes
• Carry out component-level rework including PCB soldering, wire harness repair, and connector retermination
• Verify repaired assemblies through functional and environmental testing
• Lead and guide junior technicians on repair tasks and workshop procedures
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring faults and document findings
• Build and maintain repair documentation, fault logs, and troubleshooting procedures
• Provide on-call technical support and remote triage to field operators
• Collaborate with engineering and procurement to improve fleet reliability and design-for-maintainability

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Aerospace, or related field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in technical maintenance, MRO, or systems repair
• Strong practical skills in electrical and electronic fault-finding
• Experience with electronics assembly, PCB rework, soldering, and wire harness fabrication
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
• Proficiency with basic computer skills and production reporting tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with marine, subsea, robotics, or UAV systems
• Experience with underwater or subsea equipment repair
• Experience with battery systems
• Knowledge of Linux-based OS (Ubuntu)
• Familiarity with software-side diagnostics using SSH and CLI tools
