About the role
Responsibilities
- Support engineering activities including design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems and RF/Microwave devices
- Work from schematics, diagrams, and layouts to perform testing, check-out, and troubleshooting functions
- Perform operation tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment
- Assist in determining methods to remedy malfunctions and in the construction of test equipment
- Utilize diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in electronics assembly and testing
- Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
- Proven experience in soldering and cable assembly
- Demonstrated proficiency in space-qualified construction and testing techniques
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- BS/BA in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- J-STD Certification (terminals, wires, through-hole, and surface mount technology)
- Experience with high precision timing, measurement, or ultra-high vacuum systems
- Demonstrated RF design capabilities or FPGA programming experience
