Senior Technician II - Engineering

Responsibilities

• Support engineering activities including design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems and RF/Microwave devices
• Work from schematics, diagrams, and layouts to perform testing, check-out, and troubleshooting functions
• Perform operation tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment
• Assist in determining methods to remedy malfunctions and in the construction of test equipment
• Utilize diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electronics assembly and testing
• Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings
• Proven experience in soldering and cable assembly
• Demonstrated proficiency in space-qualified construction and testing techniques
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering or Engineering Technology
• J-STD Certification (terminals, wires, through-hole, and surface mount technology)
• Experience with high precision timing, measurement, or ultra-high vacuum systems
• Demonstrated RF design capabilities or FPGA programming experience
