Senior Technician-Equipment (Implant)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair semiconductor implant systems at the Fab 4 facility
• Perform preventative maintenance according to established schedules and specifications
• Troubleshoot complex electronic, electrical, and mechanical problems
• Read and interpret mechanical prints and electrical/electronic schematics
• Use specialized tools and test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair
• Disassemble, adjust, and repair equipment following OEM manuals
• Document all work accurately in maintenance logs
• Work safely with systems containing radiation, electrical, mechanical, liquid, and gas hazards

Requirements

• AA degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a pertinent technical discipline (or equivalent semiconductor industry experience)
• 7+ years of experience in Ion Implant equipment maintenance
• Hands-on experience with Varian VIISion (80, E220/500, VIISta HC, VIISta 810) and Axcelis GSD systems
• Strong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting aptitude
• Ability to lift, push, and pull approximately 50 lbs
• Ability to pass a physical, fit test, and medical clearance for the use of a tight-fitting respirator (SCBA full face mask level)
• Proficiency with basic IT and MS Office software
• Ability to work the front night compressed work week shift
