Senior Technician – Access Control Systems

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain access control and alarm systems
• Adhere to technical standards and standard operating procedures
• Provide remote support and be available for call outs
• Maintain tools, equipment, and test gear in accordance with ISO9000
• Maintain accurate documentation and project records
• Communicate progress and new project opportunities to the Director
• Observe and promote safe working practices

Requirements

• In-depth experience in installation and repair of access control systems
• Experience with alarm brands such as Paradox, DSC, IDS, Texecom, Caddx, and Ajax
• Knowledge of electric fence installation and repairs
• Proficiency in CCTV (IP and analogue) installation, setup, and programming
• Experience working on networks and computer hardware/software
• PSIRA registration
• Strong technical skills and workmanship

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of gate motors
• High emotional intelligence (EIQ)
• Ability to work effectively without supervision
