Senior Technical Writer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Delivery, Development, and Application Support teams to gather functional and non-functional requirements
• Author and maintain Software Requirements Specification (SRS) documents for post go-live systems
• Develop standardized handover documentation templates and checklists
• Ensure deliverables include architecture overviews, configurations, support scenarios, workflows, and known issues
• Translate technical specifications, user stories, and configurations into structured documentation
• Conduct interviews with SMEs and stakeholders to gather undocumented knowledge
• Review existing documentation to align with QMS and ITSM standards
• Ensure documentation adheres to audit, compliance, and traceability requirements
• Support periodic reviews and updates to reflect system changes or new releases

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technical Communication, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Writer in IT, software, or enterprise environments
• Proven experience developing SRS or technical handover documents
• Background in Agile, DevOps, or Waterfall delivery models
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Confluence, JIRA, or documentation management systems
• Familiarity with SRS, BRD, and technical design documentation standards
• Experience with diagramming tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io
• Understanding of APIs, software architecture, and infrastructure basics

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Technical Writer (e.g., CPTC by STC)
• ITIL Foundation certification
• ISO 9001 Awareness or CMMI knowledge
