Senior Technical Writer

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain structured, component-based content designed for reuse, personalization, and AI-driven delivery.
• Partner with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to validate technical accuracy and define documentation requirements.
• Use test environments to research products, validate workflows, and capture screen samples.
• Leverage generative AI tools to support content creation, editing, and summarization while ensuring accuracy.
• Convert legacy documentation into modular, metadata-rich topics optimized for modern delivery platforms.
• Lead documentation workstreams by mentoring junior writers, improving workflows, and ensuring compliance with industry and accessibility standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical writing for software, platform, or product documentation in structured authoring environments.
• 5+ years of experience creating client-facing documentation within Agile and software development life cycle (SDLC) environments.
• Proficiency with MadCap Flare, HTML, Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Snagit.
• Experience applying topic-based authoring, content reuse, and metadata practices.
• Experience using generative AI and content assistants to streamline writing workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communications, Professional Writing, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing user interface (UI) text and application screen content.
• Experience leading large-scale content transformation efforts.
• Experience creating content specifically designed for AI consumption, such as chatbots and intelligent knowledge platforms.
• Familiarity with banking platforms, Fluid Topics, Jira, and Confluence.
