Senior Technical Supply Chain Manager, Satellite Hardware

Responsibilities

• Own the direct supply chain for satellite flight hardware from prototype through production, including sourcing, planning, purchasing, and fulfillment.
• Build and maintain material plans for spacecraft builds, managing long-lead items, BOM readiness, and inventory status.
• Source and qualify suppliers for custom and COTS hardware such as avionics, mechanisms, PCBAs, and machined parts.
• Translate engineering drawings and specs into RFQ packages and negotiate pricing, lead times, and production capacity.
• Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve supplier blockers to ensure parts arrive for engineering and flight builds.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to manage design changes and first-article readiness.
• Develop supply chain operating systems, including approved supplier lists, lead-time tracking, and material-readiness dashboards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in technical sourcing, hardware supply chain, or material planning for complex hardware.
• Proven experience managing supply chains for flight hardware or high-reliability systems (e.g., aerospace, robotics, medical, or defense).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and material callouts.
• Proficiency in RFQ management, supplier negotiation, and tracking delivery schedules.
• Experience with material planning, shortage management, and MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in ITAR/EAR regulated environments.
• Background in aerospace manufacturing, including composites, precision machining, or thermal/structural hardware.
• Experience building lightweight supply chain processes in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
