Senior Technical Staff Engineer - Hardware

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex hardware systems including controllers, embedded systems, and analog/digital circuits
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
• Oversee hardware validation, testing, and troubleshooting processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in hardware design methodologies
• Review and approve technical documentation, schematics, and layout designs
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety, and regulatory requirements
• Interface with customers and stakeholders to define requirements and resolve technical issues

Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 10+ years of relevant experience leading hardware/embedded systems design projects
• Proficiency in analysis, simulation, and implementation of embedded control systems, data converters, and RF/Microwave systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proven track record of delivering successful embedded system products
• Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams within a corporate setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of atomic clocks, precision timing/navigation, and related fields
• Experience using FPGA/CPLD
