Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end recruiting across AI/ML research scientists, research engineers, ML infrastructure, security, and non-technical roles
• Build and maintain a proactive pipeline of top AI talent
• Stay embedded in the AI community through SF/Bay Area events and networking
• Design interview loops, ensure bar alignment, and build scalable recruiting infrastructure
• Execute all individual contributor recruiting work while acting as a strategic partner to founders
• Protect the hiring bar through rigorous evaluation processes including work trials and deep reference checks

Requirements

• 5-10 years of recruiting experience
• 3+ years in early-stage startup or research-intensive environments
• 2+ years recruiting specifically for AI/ML, research engineering, or ML infrastructure roles
• Proven ability to recruit both technical and non-technical roles
• Experience as a sole operator or founding recruiter
• Quality-over-quantity mindset with a focus on high-bar talent acquisition

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience recruiting for frontier AI labs or LLM startups
• STEM degree (BS/MS/PhD) or equivalent technical fluency
• Existing network in the SF / Bay Area AI ecosystem
