About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the Program Manager in the technical support and coordination of science programs
- Coordinate conferences, demonstrations, expositions, meetings, and technical reviews
- Manage data calls including budget exhibit submissions, congressional requests, and budgetary drills
- Serve as a technical liaison between senior officials, government laboratories, academia, and industry
- Support technical management including acquisition plan development and performance assessment regarding cost, schedule, and technical objectives
- Develop and maintain databases for tracking programmatic milestones using task sheets, quad sheets, and fact sheets
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or science (Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience)
- 10 years of experience in engineering, mathematics, or science (including biology, chemistry, computer science, or physics)
- Recent experience (within the last 5 years) in federal acquisition and budgeting
- Experience in Science and Technology (S&T) program management
- Experience in technical program management of programs exceeding $1M
- Experience with planning methodologies to analyze research programs and track deliverables
- Active Secret DoD Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience collaborating with senior government personnel (OPNAV, SYSCOM, OSD, etc.)
- Experience supporting senior Navy S&T leadership or programs
- Experience with Department of Defense Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (DoD RDT&E) program/budget exhibits
- Expertise in Naval/Marine Corps focus areas such as Engineering, Power and Energy, Materials, Undersea Systems, or Manufacturing
