Senior Technical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead complex engineering activities and provide technical expertise for the Busbar global line of business.
• Ensure compliance with type-tested designs and UL standards across global projects and manufacturing plants.
• Collaborate with sales and project teams to provide technical solutions aligned with product offerings.
• Lead and approve technical drawing submissions from the mechanical engineering team.
• Develop and release standardized engineering documentation, including drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Act as the technical escalation point for complex, non-standard technical issues across projects and plants.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers to drive standardization and design reuse.
• Lead technical evaluations for custom, first-of-a-kind projects to ensure UL certification requirements are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• 5-10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• 3-5 years of experience specifically in electrical power distribution systems (e.g., low-voltage switchgear, busway).
• Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferred).
• Strong knowledge of UL codes, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with BIM and 3D modeling tools such as Revit or SolidWorks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions and coordinate with cross-functional teams including sales, manufacturing, and project management.
