Senior Technical Designer, Apparel

Responsibilities

• Build fit blocks for key styles to serve as starting points for future development
• Manage the fit process from 1st Proto through to Bulk production
• Develop and maintain accurate technical spec pages for all styles by category
• Conduct fit sessions and provide detailed technical comments for vendors and factories
• Collaborate with international technical design teams to standardize fit processes
• Partner with merchandising to maintain quality based on customer and sales data
• Evaluate and revise paper and digital patterns to perfect garment fit
• Sketch detailed flats and utilize Google Sheets and Excel for cross-functional communication
• Troubleshoot pattern and construction issues to ensure alignment with company standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 8+ years of experience as a technical designer
• Deep category expertise in apparel
• Comprehensive understanding of pattern making, garment construction, and grading
• Proficiency in pattern making software, Excel, and Google Sheets
• Exceptional accuracy in creating and reviewing technical specifications
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for the duration of a shift
