About the Company

Resolve to Save Lives (RTSL) is a global health organization that partners locally and globally to create and scale solutions to the world’s deadliest health threats. The Cardiovascular Health (CVH) team provides technical assistance in developing cardiovascular disease prevention programs to help countries improve heart health.

Responsibilities

  • Review and synthesize existing evidence on laboratory capacity gaps and good practices across program countries
  • Conduct structured stakeholder engagement including interviews with government counterparts and laboratory professionals
  • Develop a global laboratory capacity strategy with clear vision and phased investment approach
  • Create a training framework for building and sustaining TFA laboratory capacity
  • Identify procurement bottlenecks and explore solutions for standardizing processes
  • Research sustainable financing and supply chain mechanisms for laboratory consumables
  • Support country-specific laboratory strengthening efforts and technical input on analytical methods
  • Travel to program countries for stakeholder meetings and site visits

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in public health, food science, food technology, analytical chemistry, or laboratory science
  • Expertise in laboratory systems strengthening
  • Experience building lab capacity for public health in low- and middle-income countries
  • Track record of developing technical strategies in global health or food safety
  • Familiarity with ISO laboratory accreditation, AOAC International methods, and AOCS official methods
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently and travel internationally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Gas Chromatography (GC - FID/GC - MS) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR)
  • Experience working with international organizations, governments, WHO, or similar global health agencies
