About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and definition of API requirements for the Digital Services Platform (DISP) and Member portal digital experiences.
- Own API functional contracts, including payload fields, validation rules, transformations, and error conditions.
- Map end-to-end data lineage across core systems, orchestration APIs, and user experiences.
- Translate complex pension rules into deterministic system behavior for engineering and business stakeholders.
- Partner with API Integration Engineers to ensure technical designs reflect business intent and user needs.
- Identify data-quality issues, rule conflicts, and security/privacy implications during the discovery phase.
- Maintain traceability from business requirements through to API requirements, test scenarios, and release scope.
- Support QA and release planning by identifying analysis dependencies and operational readiness gaps.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in business analysis, business systems analysis, or technology delivery.
- 5+ years of focused experience with API-first, integration-heavy, or service-oriented platforms.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Strong experience with data modeling.
- Proven track record with large-scale digital platform modernization or enterprise re-platforming.
- Deep expertise in documenting integration layers, including API schemas and request/response payloads.
- Ability to translate complex business logic into clear, testable functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as financial services, pensions, insurance, or banking.
- Experience working with sensitive personal data and understanding security, audit, and compliance needs.
