Senior Technical Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to gather, analyze, and document business, data, and technical requirements.
• Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, and functional specifications.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to define data quality rules, data models, pipeline requirements, and governance standards.
• Work closely with DevOps and platform teams to support CI/CD, monitoring, and platform reliability practices.
• Analyze data quality and operational metrics to perform root-cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to leverage Agentic AI and automation to improve data quality and operational efficiency.
• Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or as a Technical Business Analyst.
• Strong SQL skills for analyzing large datasets and performing root-cause investigations.
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including backlog management and sprint planning.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms, preferably GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, etc.).
• Working knowledge of Power BI for designing and developing insight dashboards.
• Strong understanding of modern Data Engineering architectures, DevOps, and observability.
• Familiarity with Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage frameworks.
• Experience leveraging Generative AI, AI copilots, or Agentic AI to automate workflows.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for articulating complex issues to technical and business audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of AI/LLM concepts, prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented systems.
• Experience with agent-based orchestration frameworks or MCP/A2A protocols.
