Senior Technical Accountant

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly revenue close, including flux analysis, deferred revenue review, and renewals reconciliation
• Research and document accounting positions for complex, non-routine transactions
• Prepare and review quarterly stock-based compensation accounting
• Prepare group financial statements, including consolidation and entity-level reporting
• Draft and maintain ASC 606 revenue recognition policy memos and playbooks
• Advise cross-functional partners on accounting implications of business decisions and contract structures
• Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors for revenue and equity-related items
• Support SOX-readiness by maintaining strong controls and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification required
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Big 4 or public accounting audit background
• Deep knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition
• Experience with stock-based compensation accounting (ASC 718)
• Experience preparing or reviewing consolidated financial statements
• Strong Excel skills and ability to manage large data sets

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite or Carta
• Familiarity with Blackline or similar close management tools
• Background in a high-growth, venture-backed SaaS company
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate technical research or accounting operations
