Senior Tax Staff

Responsibilities

• Participate in scoping sessions to identify eligible SR&ED projects and expenditures
• Prepare qualifying expenditure summaries and assist with tax submissions
• Review project cost summaries for accuracy and classify costs into appropriate Capital Cost Allowance (CCA) classes
• Consult with engineers to align technical details with tax classifications
• Draft technical analyses and legislative references to support client tax positions
• Manage client expectations and meet strict deadlines while leading reviews with the Canada Revenue Agency
• Stay updated on legislative developments and contribute to thought leadership materials

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law, or another relevant discipline
• 2 or more years of experience in Canadian Corporate Tax, SR&ED, or incentives

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional accounting or legal credential (CPA, CPA In-depth Tax Course, Master in Taxation, or Master of Tax Law)
