Senior Tax Planner

Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive income tax projections and liability forecasting for members
• Construct tax scenarios to illustrate the impact of financial decisions
• Advise on withholding adjustments, quarterly estimated payments, and IRS Safe Harbor rules
• Develop strategic tax plans for retirement, charitable giving, education savings, and equity compensation
• Manage tax planning for stock options (RSUs, ISOs, NSOs), AMT, real property investments, and SALT
• Handle international taxation and estate/gift tax planning
• Review individual tax returns for accuracy and compliance
• Maintain detailed tax documentation and support audit inquiries
• Implement process improvements for tax preparation and review

Requirements

• CPA, EA, or equivalent demonstrated tax expertise
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in tax planning and tax return review
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws (individual, estates, gifts, trusts, passive investments)
• Proficiency in tax software and financial analysis tools
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex concepts to non-experts
• High attention to detail and ability to work in cross-functional teams
