Senior Tax Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee direct tax matters for APAC jurisdictions, ensuring regional compliance and managing tax risks.
• Partner with the business to provide tax advisory for M&A, restructuring, and other global projects.
• Review direct tax compliance works and returns across APAC, including Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax, and Stamp Duty.
• Manage tax audits effectively to reduce financial and reputational impact.
• Identify and execute tax optimization initiatives and mitigation plans for identified risks.
• Track and interpret tax law amendments across APAC markets to evaluate business impact.
• Collaborate with global Transfer Pricing and Treasury teams on policy rollout and dividend repatriation.
• Conduct periodic reviews of cash tax forecasts to align with global tax strategy.

Requirements

• CPA or CTA certificate.
• At least 7 years of tax consulting experience, preferably with a Big 4 and MNC in-house background.
• Deep understanding of China tax law and experience with international tax across APAC jurisdictions.
• Proficient English in both writing and speaking.
• Strong cross-functional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results at pace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry experience within FMCG, consumer healthcare products, or pharmaceuticals.
