Senior Tax Associate

Responsibilities

• Manage transaction tax compliance projects, including the preparation, verification, and e-filing of Sales & Use Tax returns for US stakeholders
• Process online filings of tax returns and Electronic Data Interchange and Electronic Funds Transfers (EDI / EFT's)
• Prepare low to medium complex sales and use tax returns using compliance software
• Reconcile sales tax returns to source data files and update monthly compliance checklists
• Maintain effective communication with US stakeholders regarding project deliverables and timelines
• Assist with logging notices and managing project communications to ensure timely delivery

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
• 0-2 years of experience in US Taxation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically intermediate skills in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts (current shifts include 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM IST or 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST)
• Willingness to work overtime during compliance filing periods or deadline-driven requests
