Senior Tax Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business tax returns
• Prepare financial statements
• Perform audit procedures as assigned by supervisors/managers
• Handle monthly and yearly bookkeeping and client write-up
• Supervise and mentor staff accountants on small jobs
• Plan and perform small audits
• Perform initial review procedures on staff accountant work
• Conduct research tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 1 to 3 years of experience in public accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Basic understanding of auditing, accounting, and tax concepts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn various computer programs

Preferred Qualifications

• Desire to pursue CPA certification
• Developing or emerging leadership skills
