Senior Tax Accountant

Responsibilities

• Provide support for income tax compliance, including preparation of workpapers and calculations for U.S. federal, state, local, and international tax returns
• Prepare federal and state estimated tax and extension payment calculations
• Support month and quarter-end close processes, including tax account reconciliations and roll forwards
• Support quarterly and annual global income tax provisions and financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740
• Maintain and improve tax-related processes and internal controls in accordance with SOX
• Monitor tax calendar to ensure timely filing of all income, gross receipts, and other tax filings
• Support tax audits and prepare responses to inquiries from tax authorities
• Handle and analyze tax notices to determine required actions and deadlines
• Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide guidance on business decision impacts

Requirements

• 3+ years of related tax experience
• Bachelor's degree with a CPA (or actively pursuing)
• Strong foundation in income tax compliance and provision experience
• Strong knowledge of corporate taxation
• Experience with OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision, or similar software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and expert-level Excel skills
• Strong communication skills for interfacing with colleagues at all levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a Big 4 public accounting firm
• Exposure to international tax issues
