Senior Systems Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Translate product and quality system requirements into software specifications
• Lead the architecture of software-driven systems and create design control documents
• Document software designs using notation such as UML
• Code complex software applications with associated unit tests and debug highly complex software
• Develop and execute test strategies and plans at module, unit, and system levels
• Create internal software tools to enhance data analysis and management productivity
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers and interns
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related field
• 6+ years of relevant industry experience
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Experience with the software development lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience following quality system/design control in medical devices or a related area
• Proven track record of contributing to successful software launches from concept to release
• Deep knowledge of the software lifecycle for medical devices
• Direct experience in medical device development
