About the role
Responsibilities
- Identify weapon system critical program information (CPI) and determine the consequences of compromise
- Conduct critical analysis and modeling on proposed architectures and document protective architectures
- Develop and advocate contractual requirements in support of developmental programs
- Facilitate evaluation of weapons system architectures for compliance with protection standards
- Coordinate with program, service, Joint, and DoD agencies to ensure system horizontal protection requirements are met
- Assist the Navy Verification & Validation (V&V) team with the assessment of system designs and solutions
- Support program risk management, mitigation, and reporting
- Serve as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member for systems technical events providing SSE expertise
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific/technical discipline
- 10+ years of recent and relevant experience in systems engineering, including systems security engineering (SSE)
- Proven experience with the application of systems engineering methods and tools in the development of weapon systems
- Deep knowledge of DoD systems acquisition life cycle
- Ability to possess and maintain a Top Secret clearance (ability to obtain TS/SCI is required)
- Must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related scientific or technical discipline
- Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering transformations
- Recent and direct experience in Anti-Tamper (AT) systems engineering
- Recent and direct experience with DoD acquisitions
