Senior Systems Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the management of installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
• Increase system efficiencies and reduce human intervention through automation
• Review and analyze complex operational support systems, application software, and management tools to ensure high availability
• Collaborate with vendors and technical personnel to resolve complex technical issues
• Lead teams to meet technical deliverables while adhering to process controls and standards

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture, or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience in Linux systems production support
• Proficiency in Ansible playbook development to automate systems administration
• Knowledge or certification in Redhat Linux
• Experience developing observability dashboards using tools such as Grafana, Splunk, or ServiceNow
• Strong understanding of infrastructure and remote administration of various devices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting network, hardware, and software issues using predefined guidelines
• Familiarity with infrastructure components including Routers, Switches, Servers, SAN, and NAS devices
• Knowledge of Infrastructure Service Management processes such as Incident, Change, and Problem Management
• Ability to use diagnostic tools for troubleshooting and extracting configuration information
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with multiple support teams and business units
