Senior Systems Operations Engineer - PeopleSoft Administrator

Responsibilities

• Lead the management of installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
• Perform PeopleTools upgrades (8.6x+), including pre-upgrade analysis, execution, and post-upgrade validation
• Manage the PUM Image lifecycle and selective updates using PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM)
• Execute Oracle Quarterly CPU/PSU patching for Oracle Database, WebLogic, Tuxedo, Java, and Oracle Client
• Lead PHIRE code change management, deployment initiatives, and vulnerability remediation
• Implement automation for administration tasks such as domain builds, patching, and health checks using Shell, Python, or PowerShell
• Administer PeopleSoft environments (DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD) including Application Server, Web Server, and Process Scheduler domains
• Manage PeopleSoft Search Framework using OpenSearch, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning
• Conduct BCP/DR simulations, failover testing, and maintain recovery documentation
• Perform end-to-end performance tuning across the PeopleSoft stack, including SQL, database, and JVM optimization
• Provide L2/L3 production support and conduct root cause analysis to ensure SLA adherence

Requirements

• 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated experience
• Proven expertise as a PeopleSoft Administrator
• Experience with PeopleTools upgrades and PUM image updates
• Proficiency in Oracle CPU patching and PHIRE deployments
• Strong automation skills using scripting languages
• Experience with OpenSearch administration and performance tuning

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vulnerability management and security compliance standards
• Knowledge of technology refresh initiatives involving OS, database, or middleware upgrades
• Experience with cloud modernization initiatives and on-premise infrastructure
• Familiarity with SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management for WebLogic and Load Balancers
