About the role
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop C-UAS use cases, technical requirements and integration solutions
- Participate in national and international standards Working Groups and domain-specific conferences
- Develop and maintain integration strategies for Land Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Target Acquisition (LC5ISRT) C-UAS capabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain procedures for verification and validation of components and system integration
- Review and ensure software solutions meet performance, reliability, and security standards
- Document architectural decisions, integration patterns, and technical specifications
- Collaborate with senior architects to align intermediate-level designs with enterprise architecture goals
- Assist in the selection and evaluation of software tools, frameworks, and platforms
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Software, Computer, Systems, Electrical, or related)
- Valid Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in a Canadian province or territory
- Minimum 5 years of work experience as a System Engineer on Military C4ISR systems
- Minimum 8 years of experience in analysis, design, or implementation of command, control, communications, or information systems
- Minimum 8 years of experience in system integration, verification, and validation of hardware and software components
- Minimum 4 years of experience developing technical concept documents and system specifications
- Ability to hold or obtain a Secret (Level II) Canadian Federal Government Security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with aviation, uncrewed aerial systems, and robotics domains
