Senior Systems Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of systems engineers, providing technical direction across the full development lifecycle
• Own engineering execution for scope, schedule, and cost, including project planning and risk management
• Manage and allocate engineering resources to meet program priorities and mission needs
• Utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) to track and ensure program success
• Lead and provide technical guidance for proposal and capture activities
• Ensure disciplined use of established development processes, lifecycle plans, and industry standards
• Drive hiring, staffing decisions, and performance management to build high-performing teams

Requirements

• University Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 7+ years of experience in a STEM field
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Proven experience in a project engineering or technical lead role with cost and schedule accountability
• Strong background in Earned Value Management (EVM)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the Atlassian tool suite (e.g., JIRA)
• Experience with tools such as Teamwork Cloud, CAMEO, or JAMA
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop engineering talent
• Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills in dynamic environments
