Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of data center infrastructure components
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient systems in hybrid environments
• Administer and maintain enterprise Windows and Linux systems
• Develop and enforce backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies
• Optimize storage and compute infrastructure for high performance and cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application needs
• Document systems designs, procedures, and configurations
• Proactively monitor systems performance and troubleshoot issues
• Participate in an on-call rotation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles
• Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)
• Proven experience in data center design, build-out, and operations
• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/AWS GovCloud, Azure, or GCP
• Familiarity with enterprise storage solutions (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Ceph)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals
