Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as systems engineer to develop requirements and drive the development of software for automotive climate control systems
• Use modeling tools to model thermodynamic behavior and human comfort aspects of automotive HVAC systems
• Collaborate with hardware engineering to develop frameworks and requirements for control software development
• Translate high-level feature requests into detailed controller software, sensor, and actuator requirements
• Research and analyze control algorithms and develop control-oriented simulation models
• Create and maintain system boundary diagrams, function allocation documents, state machines, and failure analysis

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience in software architecture and requirement management tools like JAMA or DOORS
• Strong foundation in heat transfer and thermodynamics
• Proficiency in control systems fundamentals applied to the thermal/HVAC domain
• Knowledge of automotive or building climate control system development
• Experience handling large datasets in MATLAB or Python
• Understanding of human thermal comfort applications
