Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and execute high-level projects including server migrations and Microsoft 365/Azure migrations
• Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex technical issues and security breaches
• Proactively maintain and optimize client environments using RMM and PSA toolsets
• Implement and enforce security best practices such as MFA, EDR, and backup verification
• Maintain detailed documentation of client configurations and network diagrams
• Provide strategic consulting to identify hardware lifecycles and technology upgrades

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a Systems Admin or Engineer role
• Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure
• Deep proficiency with VMware ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs
• Experience configuring business-class firewalls like Fortinet, SonicWall, or Cisco Meraki
• Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Datto, or Acronis
• Familiarity with RMM/PSA tools like ConnectWise, NinjaOne, or Autotask

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment
