About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans for electro-optical (EO) systems and components
- Create and decompose requirements, define system interfaces, and determine validation/verification methods
- Conduct testing on optical and electrical components, collect data, and analyze results to optimize performance
- Perform integration, verification, and validation testing to ensure systems meet specifications
- Identify and resolve technical issues during testing and provide troubleshooting and calibration support
- Document test results through comprehensive reports for program management and stakeholders
- Support system performance analysis and participate in technical reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Experience with systems engineering lifecycles, including requirements management and functional analysis
- Experience with system software, hardware, and/or testing processes
- Proven ability to present analytical and technical findings to stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, or other programming languages
- Proficiency with digital engineering tools such as DOORS, DNG, Rhapsody, or Cameo
- Experience in an integration lab, test facility, or field environment
- Knowledge of Agile systems engineering practices
- Experience using Monte Carlo simulations to model system performance
- Ability to travel up to 25% for customer support and events
