Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support Aegis-equipped vessel construction, commissioning, testing, and final handover
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of engineering documentation, including requirements and design modifications
• Prepare and present platform product status updates, technical briefings, and reports to stakeholders and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) customers
• Rapidly assess construction-impacting technical issues and coordinate with SMEs and program office representatives to drive resolution
• Communicate the scope and potential impact of technical issues to ensure construction schedules are understood by MDA and shipbuilder teams
• Identify and mitigate bottlenecks in the approval process for technical issues and resolutions

Requirements

• US Citizenship with an active Secret security clearance
• Master’s Degree in a STEM field
• 12+ years of professional experience
• Direct experience with the Aegis Weapon System
• Mastery of the MS Office suite
• Familiarity with collaborative tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft Teams
• Minimum of three years supporting new construction shipbuilding programs with proven project management experience
• Strong understanding of USN ship installation requirements and processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Prior experience with Weapons Systems Deployment
• Experience with Missile Systems Engineering
• Technical expertise in Fleet operations, systems engineering, missile systems, or Aegis Qualifications
