Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and program management support for B-52 avionics and communications/navigation modernization programs
• Deliver technical and programmatic guidance to program managers to support acquisition and modernization efforts
• Interface with Branch leadership, engineers, logisticians, and Air Force Global Strike Command requirements managers
• Participate in technical and programmatic reviews, preparing and assessing necessary products and documentation
• Implement and execute systems engineering processes across the full program life cycle
• Oversee requirements traceability and validation to ensure designs meet mission objectives and DoD standards
• Support cost estimation, technical risk management, and resource planning for systems engineering activities
• Assist with the review of contractor deliverables, schedules, and reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related technical field
• 5-8 years of experience deriving DoD system requirements or developing statements of work
• Strong technical or programmatic background in aircraft avionics
• Experience analyzing, decomposing, and documenting system requirements
• Experience briefing technical and program managers, senior executives, and military personnel
• Active Top Secret security clearance (must be eligible for SCI)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related technical field
• Extensive experience with communications, navigation, guidance, and control systems
• Knowledge of MIDS, JTRS, or Link 16 requirements and implementation
• Experience with GPS receivers, integration, and cryptographic systems
• Proficiency in hardware/software development, including RF and avionics integration
