Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support cross-functional engineering efforts using system-level product understanding
• Serve as the primary systems engineering contact for Japan-based projects
• Translate Japan-specific regulatory, safety, and customer requirements into technical specifications
• Develop and execute methods for documenting Japan-specific Operational Design Domain (ODD)
• Analyze real-world and simulation results to identify performance trends and improvements
• Develop and execute system test and validation plans
• Lead continuous improvement activities for engineering processes
• Conduct FMEA and manage resolution of findings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
• 5+ years of automotive engineering experience (software, hardware, or combined)
• 2+ years of experience with autonomous driving systems
• Knowledge of automotive and autonomous vehicle technologies
• Experience supporting Japan-based projects
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, and data analysis tools (Pandas, NumPy, Spark)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering
• Experience working in a startup environment
• Japanese language experience
