Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering changes and enhancements, including requirements management, design, verification, and reporting
• Coordinate engineering service providers and suppliers to ensure clear processes and timelines for SATCOM projects
• Conduct Technical Information Reviews (TIR) impacting fit, form, or function and advise the program office
• Support technical investigations to resolve product issues and provide clear recommendations
• Manage the lifecycle and supportability of Products Being Supported (PBS), including roadmaps and obsolescence management
• Respond to RFIs with accurate, timely updates to the SATCOM program office
• Maintain engineering plans, procedures, and CDRL deliverables
• Contribute to contract status reporting regarding performance, risks, and upcoming activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Avionics, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Systems, or Software) recognized by Engineers Australia
• Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience or equivalent experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 level)
• Experience supporting small and large-scale engineering projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within the Defence industry
• Background in engineering sustainment
• Experience operating within a complex, large international business environment
