Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and support organization systems and infrastructure
• Ensure reliability, performance, security, and scalability of enterprise systems
• Partner with IT teams including Network, Security, Service Desk, and Application Support
• Provide guidance and technical support to junior staff
• Serve as an escalation point for complex system-related issues
• Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshoot complex technical issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of systems engineering or infrastructure experience
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Familiarity with system monitoring, patch management, and backup/recovery solutions
• Experience with scripting or automation tools like PowerShell or Bash
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a large enterprise or centralized IT environment
• Knowledge of security best practices and vulnerability management
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Terraform, SCCM, or Intune
• Familiarity with containerization or modern infrastructure technologies
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or serving as a Technical Lead
• ITIL or similar service management framework experience
